Michael Wong

Michael Wong is a dedicated cellist and music educator based in Toronto. He serves as principal cellist with various orchestras and is a founding member of EnCello, a cello quartet dedicated to promoting music and education across the GTA. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Cello Performance from the University of Toronto, where he studied under Professor Shauna Rolston, and a Bachelor’s degree from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under Professor Ray Wang. He has had the privilege of participating in masterclasses with Steven Isserlis, Joe Johnson, Inbal Megiddo, and many other distinguished artists. Recently, Michael has appeared as a soloist with the Summerhill Orchestra and the Toronto Community Orchestra, performing cello concertos and further establishing his presence as both a soloist and orchestral musician in the Toronto music community.
